The web Directory of Information Materials for People Affected by Cancer is regularly updated and currently has details of over 1,900 booklets, leaflets, books and audiovisual materials for people affected by cancer. Most have been published in the last five years but we have included some older ones that are still useful.

Generally affecting men over the age of 50, there are around 47,000 cases of prostate cancer are diagnosed each year in the UK. There is currently no screening programme for the disease and the symptoms could be quite easily ignored, as they don’t tend to cause too many problems in the early stages. Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer in the UK.
