The web Directory of Information Materials for People Affected by Cancer is regularly updated and currently has details of over 1,900 booklets, leaflets, books and audiovisual materials for people affected by cancer. Most have been published in the last five years but we have included some older ones that are still useful.

It is for anyone who wants to plan ahead, whether they have a serious illness or not. Planning for your future care is also called advance care planning. It is important in case you ever become unable to make choices yourself. The booklet talks about the ways you can plan ahead, for example writing a will, or making a power of attorney or an advance directive. It also tells you how to talk about planning ahead with your family, friends and health and social care professionals.
