Our Directory of information materials for people affected by cancer has details of over 1,000 leaflets, booklets, books and audiovisual materials on cancer. All of the materials listed in the directory have been produced in the UK within the last five years and are available nationwide.
The books and audiovisual materials have been reviewed by over 200 people affected by cancer. You can see these reviews in the printed directory or here on the website in the coming weeks.
We use the Flesch readability score to test booklets and leaflets and the DISCERN quality tool to assess those that discuss treatments.
The directory is available free from Macmillan Cancer Support on 0800 500 800, or you can order online at be.macmillan.org.uk
To search our directory online, enter a keyword or phrase, and an optional cancer type from the drop-down menu. Alternatively you can browse specific cancers by choosing from the phrases below.
You'll find a description of each publication and the publisher's contact details. Some of the materials are also available to download.
